Liton joins CPL

Bangladesh opener Liton Kumar Das has been given no-objection clearance to play in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League for Jamaica Tallahwahs, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Wednesday.


This is the first time Liton will play in any franchise-based Twenty20 tournament abroad and he is expected to be available before the start of the preparation camp ahead of the India tour.

‘’Liton has been given the NOC for playing the CPL and he is expected to be available before the start of our preparation ahead of the preparation for the tour of India,’’ BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told reporters on Wednesday.


Jamaica is placed at the bottom points table after earning only two wins from eight games and Liton have lot of work to do to take them to a respectable position.


Meanwhile, Shakib will be leaving the country on September 25 in order to represent Barbados Tridents in the CPL after receiving the NOC from BCB earlier.



The 32-year-old missed the last edition of CPL due to an injury and was replaced by Steve Smith.
