Domingo to oversee Bangladesh A team in Sri Lanka

Bangladesh head coach Russel Domingo and chief selector Minhajul Abedin is going to Sri Lanka on September 25 to witness the performance of the Bangladesh A team, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Tuesday.
The duo is expected to stay for the whole tour that is compromised two four-day matches and three one-day.

Since his arrival Domingo, who replaced Steve Rhodes as the head coach, had insisted on the importance of developing young cricketers and this visit to Sri Lanka is the first step towards that direction.
We are trying to find out our next group of players and so we are keen to see all our available options,’’ said a BCB official.
That is the reason we are sending them[ coach and national selector] as they are the one who need to work together to find out our talents that can serve us at international level,’’ he said.
Mominul Haque is leading Bangladesh A team in the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
“I think we need to concentrate on this tour as we have lot of Test matches in the upcoming days and in order to prepare us for the Test championship, this tour is very important,” Mominul told reporters before leaving for Sri Lanka.
“Four day matches will help us to have the confidence under our belt and that is very important,’’ he said.
Bangladesh lost the lone Test match against Afghanistan and looked to be in dire straits considering it was a big dent for their ego after being humiliated by the new Test playing nation that too at their own backyard.
