Bangladesh pace bowler Shafiul Islam said that newly appointed pace bowling coach Charl Langeveldt is putting his emphasis on bowling in the same length so that it becomes difficult to score runs.
Langeveldt replaced Courtney Walsh as the pace bowling coach after the World Cup and a lot depends on the South African as far as guiding the pace bowlers are concerned considering it is the weakest link in the Tigers set-up.
‘’We have only worked with Langeveldt for three or four days and the coach want us to bowl in the same channel every ball so that batsman get tough to score runs.
‘’If you bowl in the right area it is possible to be successful anywhere in the world. Every bowler in the world is being successful by bowling in the right area,’’ he said.
Shafiul added that Bangladesh need to produce pace friendly wicket to encourage the pace bowlers.

‘’I want the wicket to be helpful for seam bowler so that we can perform well,’’ he added.
This wicket is pretty good for us though it is spin friendly. Whatever the condition we have to be ready to perform,’’ he said.
‘’If the pitch behave like foreign condition it will help the batsman and bowler,’’ he said.
Shafiul said that he is not happy with his international career as it was plagued with injury.
I not happy with my career as I played international cricket for nine years[but yet to get it settled],’’ said Shafiul.
‘’First time I played for three years regularly in the national team. Than I suffered injury lot of time and still my career not over if I get the chance i want to make a mark,’’ he said.
‘’I have been pretty unlucky with injury with past and try to do my work regularly and on many occasions I have suffered from injury after getting a call for the national squad and that was quite unlucky for me,’; he said.
Shafiul said that he is not interested to compare him with anyone when he was asked that he is considered to be the best pace bowler around after Mashrafe for his ability to swing.
‘’I do not want to compare myself with anybody and I want to improve my set of bowling skill every day,’’ said
‘’I believe every bowler skill is different,’’ he said.
‘’I am trying to be accurate with the new ball because it is not good if I bowl in different area,’’ he added. I want to bowl in the same area with accuracy and swing,’’ he added.
