Bangladesh Under-19 batsman Mahmudul Hasan scored a brilliant century as Young Tigers posted a challenging 261 runs against India in the tri-nation final at Hove on Sunday.


Bangladesh made a bright start as last match centurion Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain put up 58 runs for the opening stand before India’s Ravi Bishnoi removed the former to bring the first break through.

Mahmudul, who made 109 runs, added 65 runs with opener Parvez Hossain (60) before the latter was removed by Sushant Mishra.


Bangladesh looked to have a solid platform but their opponent fought back bravely by picking wickets at regular intervals.


Touhid Ridoy and Akbar Ali, two main stay of the junior team went out cheaply to put them into big trouble and only Shamim Hossain(32) gave him able support as the pair added 64 runs for the sixth wicket.



Kartik Tyagi and Sushant picked two wickets apiece.
