Fast bowler Rubel Hossain said on Monday that their experience in New Zealand will help them in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup.

“We have World Cup ahead in England. The weather and condition of New Zealand are almost akin to England. So, it will be better and useful for us, I think,” Rubel told media at the national academy of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.

“Such type of condition is good for both the bowlers and batsmen. There are many more things to learn such as how to bowl, how to make an adjustment with the weather and how to bat a batsman on these conditions,” he said, who returned home from New Zealand after completing the ODI stint.

The experienced fast-bowler said that bowling against winds is very tough in New Zealand condition but the more batsmen and bowlers adjust themselves with the condition the more they will do fare well.

“There are enormous winds in New Zealand. It’s really tough to bowl against the winds. Normally such type of winds doesn’t happen in Bangladesh. There is a matter of adjustment how a bowler will bowl with the pace of winds,” he said.

“Our wickets are flat. But their wickets are nice and sporting. Whatever length you bowl the height is very good. The more a batsman adopts himself with the condition the more he will do well,” he opined.
