Sadikur shines against Dhaka Metro on day two

||Desk Report||
A 146-run opening stand from Sadikur Rahman and Pinak Ghosh has taken Chittagong Division to a comfortable position against Dhaka Metropolis, who were bundled out for 328 runs after resuming their innings at 265/5 on the second day of the match.
Marshall Ayub’s departure initiated the collapse in Dhaka Metro’s batting lineup after the centurion failed to add to his innings of 110 runs from the previous day. Sharifullah’s 40-run knock, however, helped the side go past 300 runs.
Nayeem Hasan completed his four-for by taking two wickets for Chittagong on the second day. Hasan Mahmud also struck twice for Chittagong while Shakhawat Hossain took his tally of wickets to three by taking a scalp on day-2.
Chittagong posted 196 runs for three wickets before the umpires called stumps. Sadikur belted a century after Pinak’s departure for 76 runs put an end to the Chittagong’s brilliant start. Following his exit, Irfan Sukkur (8) and Tasamul Haque (1) fell cheaply against Qazi Onik.

Sadikur will resume the innings for Chittagong along with skipper Yasir Ali on the third day of the match. They are currently trailing by 132 runs in the first innings of the sixth and final round of the National Cricket League.
Both Dhaka Metro and Chittagong Division have won one game in the competition so far and are at the second and the third position, respectively, in the Tier 2 points table. Chittagong suffered one defeat and three of their games ended in a stalemate while Dhaka Metro was part of two drawn matches.
