Sylhet Division could add only 18 runs to their score of 220/6 from the previous day as the tailenders failed to put up any substantial innings on the second day of the match. Jaker Ali alone added 15 runs to the total on day-2 and remained unbeaten on 55 runs.
In reply, Dhaka Division posted 236 runs for four wickets before stumps were called.
Opening batsman Abdul Mazid belted a brilliant century and shared a crucial 101-run stand with Raqibul Hasan after Dhaka lost two early wickets. Raqibul was out scoring 40 runs but Mazid helped his side lift the total past 200 runs before retiring hurt on 104.
Taibur Rahman and Nadif Chowdhury, who are not out on 15 and 7 runs, respectively, will resume the innings for Dhaka on the third day.

Dhaka Division are currently at the top of the Tier 2 points table with two wins and two draws to their name. Sylhet, on the other hand, are at the foot of the table with a single win and three draws. Both the sides have lost one match so far in the competition.
Dhaka will surely look to retain their position till the end of the ongoing sixth and final round of the tournament. They still have enough arrows left in their quiver to take a healthy lead over Sylhet.
