Sylhet put up a better show against Dhaka Metro

||Desk Report||
Unlike their first-round batting performance against Dhaka Metropolis, Sylhet Division did not get all out for a petty total in the fourth round of the National Cricket League. Though Sylhet have just one wicket left in the 1st innings of their Tier 2 clash, they have a good chance of lifting the total past 300 runs, as they finished at 292/9 at the end of day-1.
Sylhet were off to a good start as their skipper Imtiaz Hossain formed an 89-run opening partnership with Shahnaj Ahmed. Imtiaz was out for 31 runs, shortly before Shahnaj got dismissed after top-scoring for the side with 60 runs.
Zakir Hasan and Shahanur Rahman also picked up a fifty each but the rest of the batters lost their wickets before putting up any substantial score.

Arafat Sunny, Qazi Onik, and Mohammad Ashraful took two wickets each for Dhaka Metro and Shahidul Islam, Shykat Ali, and Asif Hossain scalped one wicket apiece.
Dhaka Metro won the first clash between the two sides, by an innings and 41 runs in Sylhet’s own backyard. Sylhet, being at the bottom of the table, will certainly look for a revenge in the remaining three days of this game.
