Dhaka Division made a good comeback in their Tier 2 clash in the National Cricket League by taking Dhaka Metropolis’ remaining six wickets for 75 runs on the rain-marred third day of the game. However, that certainly was not enough to stop Dhaka Metropolis from gaining a 181-run lead in the first innings.

Shadman Islam, who singlehandedly restored Dhaka Metro’s innings after their early collapse, got dismissed on day-3, initiating the final collapse in their batting lineup. The opener’s 189-run innings was the highlight of the team’s batting innings while the rest of the batters got out scoring handful of runs.

Salauddin Sakil took three scalps on day-3 to top the wicket-taking charts for Dhaka Division with four wickets to his name.

Dhaka Division repeated their failures in the second innings after posting only 206 runs in the first. They finished the third day at a score of 50/2 as Abu Hider and Arafat Sunny took one wicket each for Dhaka Metro.

Sunny bagged a seven-wicket haul in the first innings and will once again look to dismantle the opponents’ batting lineup in a bid to produce a positive outcome for his side while the Dhaka Division batsmen will try their best to save the match.
