Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Friday that they have asked Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes to join national cricket them for the remainder part of Asia Cup.

According to BCB officials they have asked booth of them to return back to Dhaka from the four day match that they were participating in Khulna.

The duo were part of the four-day match played by the members of Bangladesh ‘A’ team and BCB High Performance Unit along with few national discards.

‘We have decided to call both of them [Imrul and Soumya] to join us for the remaining part of the Asia Cup,’’ Minhajul told Cricfrenzy from  Dubai.

We need some experience at the top so we took this decision since both the openers that we have in the squad are quite inexperienced,’’ he said  adding that the inability of the openers Liton Kumar and newly introduced Nazmul Hasan had forced them to call back two duo.

When contacted coach HP coach Jafrul Ehsan said he is aware that the duo will be leaving soon.

‘’Yes I am informed that they will be leaving us to join the national cricket team though I am not sure when they will fly,’’ said Jafrul.
