The ceremony was delayed by around 40 minutes after Sri Lanka’s final wicket.
Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu and her teammates collected their runners-up medals and cheque from Naqvi before the broadcast ended following Athapaththu’s interview.
The broadcast did not show India receiving their winners’ medals or the trophy.
The incident echoes last year’s men’s Asia Cup final in Dubai, when India similarly refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi, leading to a prolonged presentation ceremony.
Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat, with Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma putting on 129 for the opening wicket.
Mandhana scored 59 and Shafali 68 as India posted 183/5 in 20 overs.
Sri Lanka’s chase faltered after Deepti Sharma dismissed captain Chamari Athapaththu, allowing India to cruise to a comfortable victory.
