Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 20-member squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand on Friday.
Mushfiqur Rahim , Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad are the common faces for the Bangladesh team. However, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been granted leave for the New Zealand series, as the player is expecting his third child next month.
Mosaddek Hossain has returned to the team after 1 year. He last played an ODI against Sri Lanka in July 2019. Nasum Ahmed has been kept as the only left-arm spinner in the team as Shakib is not available.
Pacer Shoriful Islam is waiting for his debut. Another fast bowler Al Amin Hossain has returned to the team. He last played in ODIs and T20s in the series against Zimbabwe last year.
Bangladesh and New Zealand will take on each other in three ODI matches and conclude the series with three T20Is. Tigers will depart on February 23. The matches will be played at Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton, Napier and Auckland.
