The individual practice session at four designated venues will not be limited to the national cricketers only, says Akram Khan.

Khan also said if players outside the national team show their interests to have their individual training session, they will welcome them.

“The cricketers we’ve will be given the opportunity to have practice because of their interests. Now if regular cricketers want the same opportunity and show interest then we’ll surely think of them too,” said BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan, who is also executive director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

“We’ll take steps if any player wants to join the practice session to make them sound and fit. We have domestic games ahead. If they will benefit from it, we will do it for them, of course,” Akram told Cricfrenzy.com.

With few cricketers joining the individual training session, cricket has resumed in the country from July 19 after a lengthy corona break but that is not the case in reality as several cricketers began their training session across the country.

Cricketers like Khulna’s Ziaur Rahman, Rajshahi’s Jahurul Islam Omi coupled with some other players have already started their practice at different venues of the country.

There’s no lack of interest is evident by the quiet practice of Zia or Jahurul at various venues while they also announced that general cricketers are not sitting still. The number of cricketers returning to the field is increasing. If they get the clearance to use the BCB’s field, it will definitely increase.
