Bangladesh left-arm all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan shared his 14-day quarantine feelings to the media, where he found it as the most difficult condition a player can ever face.

Shakib on March 21 travelled to the USA to pay a visit to his wife and daughter who are currently residing there, but due to the coronavirus situation, Shakib locked himself in a hotel room and created distance with everyone for the last 14 days.

The hotel in Wisconsin where the left-handed all-rounder of Bangladesh was spending his self-isolation time was not so far from his home in the USA. However, Shakib walked out safely and reached to his daughter and wife. But the time he spend was too difficult for him, as it was a war against mentality for him.

Cricketers are not used to being at home for a long time, they are hard-working athletes who have to go out do practice, play matches. But now they are staying at home lockdown, although others were having a chance to be with their family but Shakib was not able to be with his wife and daughter where they were staying from him in a couple of minutes of walking distance. Shakib told to a leading Bangla newspaper about the experience of his 14-day quarantine, where he compared those days with match condition.

Shakib said, " That was a tough time. It has nothing common with normal life. I had to cope with a different situation. Comparing it with cricket, I can say that it was like the way we had to adapt to different conditions while playing. Since I came on a flight from Bangladesh, I did not want my family to be at risk because of me."

The left-handed all-rounder is now spending his time with his family and waiting for his new baby girl's arrival in the world. Shakib though is hoping and praying that the situation gets better before the time of his daughter birth and urged everyone to be safe, to be at home.
