Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam said that he exert himself to make a partnership of 60-70 or 100 runs in Test cricket.

Taijul is the second top most wicket taker in Test cricket for Bangladesh with his 114 wickets in just 29 Test matches. This gives him a label as a Test specialist bowler for a long time. But he expressed his desire not only as a bowler he also wants to contribute as a batsmen for the team.

He said that he wants to have big partnership so that the specialist batsmen on the other side can hit a big score.

"Most of the time when I am in the crease, there is a specialist batsman on the other side. I try to score at least 20-25 runs, so that batsman gets time and can score big. I try to make a partnership of 60-70 or 100 runs."

He also said that his shot ability has also increased because of practice on batting. As he wasn't able to see the bowl before but now can hit it firmly.

"Some shots are also increasing because of practice. The ball would come in a blink of an eye before i can play a shot. Now I have some improvement, I can understand the length of the ball a little faster than before. Working with Neil McKenzie, Ryan Cook has improved me."

Speaking about his memorable innings he said that the innings against Zimbabwe in 2014 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium where he scored 15 runs for the team and had eight wickets which is his best bowling innings is his most memorable innings so far.

"The innings of 15 run was important for me against Zimbabwe. If I had not score 15 run in that innings then my eight wicket would have been gone in vain."
