Abdur Razzak, the skipper of Mohammedan Sporting Club denied to accept that his team is relatively weak than others in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Cricket League.
Mohammedan Sporting Club is eyeing to start their game on this Monday (16 March) by winning against Shinepukur Cricket Club. Speaking about the team and opponent Razzak said that he doesn't feel that his team or any other team is weak in this tournament.
“In this year's Premier League, there is no chance to think a team as an weak opponent. Specially in cricket you can never take your opponent lightly because anything can happen at any moment. I’m not agreeing with you about Mohammedan team is relatively weak.” Razzak said in the media briefing before the opening match of his team.
Also Razzak urged that it could be judged after the match, if a team is capable or not to be in the race of championship title.
“Since the game has not started yet, so how can you decide before the game. Depending on the outcome of the game, you can say weather the team is strong or weak," Razzak said.
In the last two meetings Mohammedan and Shinepukur both won and lost one match respectively. So it’s a matter of time to see where the Mohammedan skipper puts his team in this season.
