Shamim Patowary, Under-19 World Cup winner is all set to miss the maximum part of upcoming Dhaka Premier League due to injury and exams.

DPL is going to kick off from 15th March and Shamim was expected to feature for Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club in this prestigious List A tournament.

However, the left handed batsmen will not be able to play because of sustaining ligament injury on his left leg that he received during the ICC event.

It will take one month for him to recover from the ligament injury but despite regaining fitness he will not be available for PDSC as he will be sitting for Intermediate exam.

‘’Let’s see if I can be available at the last leg of Premier League but that depends if everything goes according to plan,’’ Shamim told Cricfrenzy on Tuesday.

For this reason it can be said that his playing in the tournament is quite under the dark at the moment.

Shamim was considered as one of the most important player at the lower order of the team that displayed superlative cricket by lifting up the U-19 World Cup for Bangladesh.
