Alok Kapali is a man on fire. After earning the man of the match awards for his exception all-round performance for Brothers Union in the last two games, he started the game against Abahani in a great fashion as well.

Winning the toss and choosing to field first, captain Alok Kapali has got the first breakthrough with the wicket of Anamul Haque Bijoy, who was looking dangerous as he raced his way to 41 from 48 balls. The opening partnership between the former U19 star and current U19 star, Saif Hassan, fired to 84 from 19.5, before Kapali struck with his golden arm.

The next to go was Nazmul Hassan Shanto as he was run out on 38 after playing 43 balls. His innings was filled with quick singles and clever batting, but perhaps the cunningness for the last run may have been one too many.

In the meantime, Saif Hassan continued to play well. The Bangladesh U19 captain seemed to be on fire as he completed a daunting century. He scored 108 from 132 balls before being scalped by Rony Hossain.

After his dismissal, however, the team couldn’t carry on with the momentum and bundled up for 266 in 50 overs.

In an innings filled with run-outs, Rony Hossain and Khaled Ahmed took two wickets each while Suhrawadi Shuvo and captain Alok Kapali took one scalp each.

Brothers will now have to chase 267 in 50 overs.
