Despite taking 8 wickets in the day, Bangladesh head to the dressing room as the disappointed team. Indeed, they are currently trailing by 312 runs to the Lankans and are in danger of losing the encounter—and the series in process.

While the batsmen were poor, they could have done better in the field as well—and bowling coach Courtney Walsh is also of the same opinion, labeling the team as ‘inconsistent’ in the field.

'I think we were a little bit to inconsistent, we were short in certain areas. We gave them chances to score freely. In the field we could have been tighter.’

If it weren’t for poor catching, then Mustafizur would have had more wickets under his belt. Walsh also praised the youngster for his consistent bowling, while also bringing Mehidy Hasan Miraz into the fray.

'His [Mustafizur] confidence is coming back. He is just doing whatever he can to get him back to where he wants to be. ‘

When asked about his challenge as the bowling coach of the team, he claimed that his main task is to improve the skill of the bowlers.

'The biggest challenge I have is to do some work [when they are not on tour] and develop their skill. Unfortunately, they are not playing as much cricket as we wanted them to play
