The squad for the second Test has been announced as Shakib Al Hasan is officially out of the team. The newly-appointed Test captain was inflicted with a finger injury in the final of the tri-nation series. The sustenance of the injury means that the all-rounder won’t be able to take part in this Test series at all.

Meanwhile, Sunzamul Islam has been omitted from the squad for the Dhaka Test. The slow-left arm bowler bowled a lot of overs in the first Test, but couldn’t come up with inspirational moments. Even though he did decently with the bat, he has been left out of the squad.

Rubel Hossain is another player that fell victim to the guillotine board. The pacer couldn’t find a place in the starting XI of the Chittagong Test and doesn’t even find himself in the 15-man squad for the second Test now.

However, biggest news is the inclusion of Sabbir Rahman. The right-handed batsman was left out of the squad for the first Test, but has been recalled for the second Test, despite the fact that he has been banned from the domestic circuit for 6 months for assaulting a young fan.

Another surprise inclusion in the squad is Abdur Razzak. Despite not playing in the Chittagong Test, the veteran has been retained in the squad for the second Test.
