Mitchell Starc still remains a doubt for the Aussie side for the Boxing Day Test. Jackson Bird is ready to step up for the 4th Test if required.

Although the Kangaroos have already sealed the 5-match Test series, winning all of the first three clashes, the absence of spearhead Starc due to a bruised heel will surely be a big blow for the side.

Mitchell Starc, however, is yet to be ruled out officially after suffering from a heel injury and was seen at the Melbourne Cricket Ground without the help of any crutches as he stood helplessly and watched his team-mates practice.

Starc’s peach of a delivery to knock the stumps of James Vince in the Test was seen by many as the bowl of the century. The left-handed pacer was already rated among the best bowlers in the world and that delivery on just elevated his status even further.

As a result, he was perhaps raring to go in the MCG Test and strike fear in the hearts of English men, but this injury could come in his way to do that.
