Mohammad Rizwan has been left out of Pakistan’s squad for the final Test against England after a string of poor performances, while the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to investigate Imam-ul-Haq’s latest injury.

Rizwan was dismissed for seven in the first innings at Lord’s before falling for just one in the second, both times being trapped lbw after playing poor shots.

His struggles have now cost him his place for the third and final Test in Birmingham.

Left-handed opener Imam will also miss the final Test, according to Pakistan media outlet Geo Super, which cited sources close to the matter. The PCB is also expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding his hamstring injury.

Pakistan have endured a difficult Test tour of England, losing both the Headingley and Lord’s Tests by significant margins to concede the series with one match still to play.
