Bangladesh have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their win against New Zealand in the second ODI, where they leveled the series.

The incident occurred in Monday’s match, with the team docked 10 percent of their match fee.

While on-field graphics initially showed a shortfall of three overs, match referee Andy Pycroft later confirmed a deficit of two overs.

As per Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, players are fined five percent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.

Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz accepted the sanction, meaning no formal hearing was required.

Bangladesh, who lost the first ODI by 26 runs, bounced back with a six-wicket win in the second match to level the three-match series 1-1.
