Bangladesh
national cricket team and Chandika Hathurusingha parted their ways in last year
November. Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) has not hired a head coach since. As a result,
the Tigers will be playing in the tri-nation series without any head coach.
Shakib
Al Hasan and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will face-off each other on 6th January in a
warm-up match ahead of the tri-nation series. These two senior cricketers of
the national side were supposed to 'coach' their team according to Papon's presser
from a few days back.
Another
warm-up match will take place on 9th January. Both the matches are supposed to
start at 12pm but it may start 2 hours earlier due to the dew factor.
Shakib
will be leading the team named BCB Red while Mash will be captaining the BCB
Green. Although 11 men will be playing on each side, a total of 12 men have been
named for each team.
Among
the 32 players who were involved in the training camp 8 will not be participating
in the game on Saturday including Mominul, Mosaddek, Taijul and Shafiul.
