Sabbir Rahman has found himself embroiled in the middle of controversy yet again. After finding himself in a quagmire for reportedly bringing female friends in his hotel room during last year’s Bangladesh Premier League—which he strong denied via a video later—Sabbir’s name is once again up in the air.

Apparently, the right-handed batsman physically assaulted a fan during the recently-concluded National Cricket League. It has been reported that he did after the fan verbally abused him. And when Cricfrenzy approached Akram Khan regarding the incident, he stated that the issue is indeed true and has been sent to the disciplinary committee for further scrutiny.

“We came to know about this incident from the report of the match referee,” Akram Khan told Cricfrenzy.

“We have sent the issue to the disciplinary committee and they will decide what should be done now."

Since this has been confirmed the former Bangladesh captain, it would be interesting to see what Sabbir faces after this. Such behaviour isn't going to go down well with the committee and the chances of him being dropped for the upcoming series are quite firm at this point of time.
