Tamim takes charge as BCB ad-hoc committee assigns key responsibilities

The newly appointed 11-member ad-hoc committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially begun dividing responsibilities among its members after being handed charge by the National Sports Council (NSC).

The ad-hoc committee was formed after the NSC removed Aminul Islam Bulbul’s board from office. Although the committee members held their first meeting on Tuesday, they were not formally handed over operational control until later.

On Wednesday, the newly appointed ad hoc committee held a board meeting, during which key departmental responsibilities were allocated among members.

Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal, who is serving as the chairman of the ad-hoc committee, has taken charge of the Working Committee and Facility Management.

Among the other major appointments, Rafiqul Islam Babu has been given responsibility for the Grounds Committee, while former chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu will oversee the Tournament Committee.

The Age-Level Committee has been assigned to Tanjil Chowdhury, while Rashna Imam will look after the Women’s Committee and Medical.

Meanwhile, Mirza Yasir Abbas has been entrusted with the Logistics Department, Salman Ispahani has been given charge of Marketing and Commercial, Disciplinary Committee, and former Bangladesh cricketer Athar Ali Khan will head the Umpires Committee.

In addition, Syed Ibrahim Ahmed has been assigned responsibility for the Security Department.
