Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal left Dhaka for London to get treatment for his severe intestinal pain for which he needed to take advice from a specialist doctor after he failed to get proper medication in home territory.
The veteran hard-hitting opener has recently complained of severe intestinal pain for the last couple of months and fearing that if it occurs during the international schedule, that might then cause great harm for him and for the team as well.
For this reason he contacted a specialist of London and today (Saturday) Tamim flew for London by an Emirates flight at 11:10 am. Wasim Khan, in-charge of welcoming national and foreign team players at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport confirmed the news of Tamim’s fly for London.
He is expected to reach London with a stopover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
After reaching the United Kingdom (UK), Tamim has to spend two weeks at a hotel as a part of self-quarantine as per their governments’ health and safety protocols after which he will be tested to get assurance that he doesn’t have COVID-19. After getting clearance of the highly contagious virus, the 33-year-old player will be able to consult with the doctor.
It has been heard that Tamim has undergone several tests under the Bangladeshi doctors before getting to London but they couldn’t find any problem. And so, the ODI skipper went to London to find the reason for his illness and find an easy solution for it.
