Shortly after 1pm on Saturday (28 March), Habibul Bashar's mother breathed her last (Innallahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). She was suffering from illness for a long time.
Bashar returned from Kushtia after seeing his mother Rizia Begum a few days ago. Shortly after 1pm the former national captain and the current selector received the news of his mother's death.
On March 22, Bashar returned from Kushtia to see her sick mother. He didn't know it was his last visit. He is planning to go to Kushtia again in this pandemic situation of coronavirus.
Although most of the relatives are telling Bashar and his family to not to go in this situation.
His immediate elder brother, former footballer and famous goalkeeper of Dhaka Mohammedan, Kazi Ekramul Bashar Tuhin, left the world a few years ago after suffering from cancer. Bashar's older brother, cricket coach Emdadul Bashar Ripon, is staying in Kushtia.
