Former Bangladesh cricketer and coach Khaled Mahmud Sujon has said he supports the government’s decision to prioritise national dignity, but finds it difficult to accept that Bangladesh will not take part in the upcoming T20 World Cup after refusing to travel to India.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been embroiled in controversy just months after leadership changes in August. Following the departure of former BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon and several others, Faruque Ahmed and Nazmul Abedin Fahim joined the board as directors, with Faruque later assuming the presidency.
