The highly anticipated IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place in Saudi Arabia during the third week of November. After an extended retention phase and several rule changes, this year’s auction is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to team compositions.

Earlier reports confirmed that 13 Bangladeshi cricketers had registered for the auction. On Friday, the IPL governing body unveiled the shortlist of 574 players, which includes two familiar Bangladeshi names—Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman.

Litton Kumar Das, who played one match for Kolkata Knight Riders in a previous season, has also made it to the list.

Joining Shakib and Mustafiz are 10 more Bangladeshi players in the auction pool: Rishad Hossain, Litton, Towhid Hridoy, Taskin Ahmed, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, and Nahid Rana.

Only Tiger pacer Shahidul Islam has been omitted from the preliminary list.
