Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) team Rangpur Riders set to face The Guyana Amazon Warriors from the Caribbean Premier League, Pakistan Super League's Lahore Qalandars, T20 Blast’s Hampshire Hawks and Victoria (Australia state team) in the brand new five-team tournament Global Super League.
The inaugural tournament will start on November 26, and will feature 11 matches over 11 days, with each team playing the others once.
The top two teams will face off in the final on December 7. All matches will be held at Providence Stadium in Guyana, and the event will feature a rotating lineup of teams from around the world each year.
However, scheduling conflicts could affect player availability. The West Indies are set to play two Tests against Bangladesh from November 22 to December 4, which could impact the Warriors, as their players Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, and Kevin Sinclair are also part of the Test squad.
Rangpur Riders may also face issues with Hasan Mahmud, who might be called up for Bangladesh's Tests.
Additionally, Pakistan’s tour of South Africa begins with T20Is on December 10, potentially affecting key players like Babar Azam, who played for Rangpur Riders in BPL 2024, and Lahore Qalandars’ captain Shaheen Afridi.
The Global Super League will also overlap with the Abu Dhabi T10, scheduled from November 21 to December 2.
