Dhaka will play under a new franchise in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and has already drew attention by assembling a star-studded squad. Now, they’ve made a major move by appointing Khaled Mahmud Sujon as the head coach of Dhaka Capitals.
Dhaka Capitals officially confirmed the signing of Sujon social media On Wednesday. Sujon had previously coached Dhaka Dynamites, guiding them to a BPL title in 2016, and was also part of Durdanto Dhaka.
In their announcement, the franchise wrote, "Welcome to Dhaka Capitals, Khaled Mahmud Sujon! Previously, he served Bangladesh as a cricketer, captain, team manager, and head coach. He has also won the BPL as a coach."
"Dhaka Capitals dreams of lifting the BPL trophy and achieving great success under his leadership. Congratulations, coach!" the statement added.
Earlier, South African Mickey Arthur was announced as the head coach of Rangur Riders for the upcoming BPL.
