Bangladesh cricket Icons Shakib al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal will feature in the inaugural Sixty Strikes Tournament, hosted by the National Cricket League (NCL), USA.
After a long hiatus, two legendary cricketers will be seen playing in the same tournament, having last played in the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Meanwhile, this event will also mark the most-anticipated return of the dashing opener Tamim, who has been on a break from cricket since the ODI World Cup, last year.
The Sixty Strikes format is a shortened and faster-paced variation of traditional cricket, which will played for around 90 minutes like the Abu Dhabi T-10, and Zim Afro tournament.
The tournament will feature a star-studded lineup of renowned international cricketers and will take place at UT Dallas from October 4 to 14.
Leading the teams will be cricketing icons such as Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo, Mohammad Amir, Angelo Mathews, Jason Roy, Muhammad Nabi, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Shahid Afridi, and Kamran Akmal.
Legendary figures like Dilip Vengsarkar, and Zaheer Abbas will be seen with coaching roles provided by cricket greats Vivian Richards and Sanath Jayasuriya.
