BCB South Zone vs Walton Central Zone
BCB South Zone are still 100 runs behind at stumps in reply to Walton Central Zone’s 481 in the first innings during the third round of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
Amite Hasan and Towhid Hridoy hit centuries on Day 3 to put on a 201-run partnership for the South Zone. Skipper Farhad Reza and Zakir Hossain remained unbeaten on 12 and 36 respectively at the draw of the stumps.
BCB South Zone resumed on 92-1, with Amite Hasan on 25 and Pinak Ghosh 67 runs.
Pinak was dismissed on 74 while Amite converted his knock to 117 runs, faced 275 deliveries aided by 17 fours. While the other centurion Towhid scored 122 off 155 including 13 fours and 4 sixes.
Hasan Murad and Nazmul Islam Apu bagged two wickets each for the Central Zone.
BCB North Zone vs Islami Bank East Zone
Left-arm spinner Sunzamul Islam bagged eight wickets for BCB Noth Zone in the ongoing Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) to beat Islami Bank East Zone by six wickets.
Sunzamul was the pick of the bowling attack, conceded 98 runs in 20 overs to take 8 wickets.
North Zone wrapped up Islami Bank for 254 runs in their second innings.
In the last innings of the match, North Zone needed 110 to seal the match and overhauled within the third day as they ended up on 111 for four in 28 overs and to win the match.
