India bowling coach Morne Morkel praised Ravindra Jadeja for making "magic happen" after the all-rounder reached 300 career Test wickets in the rain-hit second match against Bangladesh.
Jadeja dismissed Bangladesh number 11 Khaled Ahmed caught and bowled to hit the milestone and bowl out the opposition for 233 on day four in Kanpur.
He became the seventh Indian bowler to reach 300 Test wickets, a list headed by Anil Kumble with 619.
"For me, he's a complete package," Morkel said. "He bats, he bowls, he's a guy in the field that can make magic happen."
"Always a guy that you want in your team, and he's done that for so many years for India."
Jadeja's effort helped India seize the momentum in their quest for a result in a Test that has lost more than two-and-a-half days' play to bad weather.
The 35-year-old has been one of India's go-to spinners alongside Ravichandran Ashwin.
Morkel, a former South African fast bowler, has been a new addition to the Indian support staff after Gautam Gambhir took over as head coach following the team's T20 World Cup triumph.
"It's quite special to be in this environment. Excited to see how they operate," said Morkel.
"I come to serve these players, share knowledge, share experience."
