Sylhet Strikers announced on Wednesday that Mashrafe bin Mortaza will remain their captain as Mohmmad Mithun will be the vice-captain of the team.
On Wednesday, a photo session was held for the captains of the seven teams of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Mohammad Mithun represented the Sylhet Sixers. Many assumed that he might be the captain for this season.

27 Mar 25Mashrafe has been suffering from an injury and the former captain also was absent from cricketing action due to his busy schedule in the national election.
Due to his participation in the national elections, he couldn't undergo treatment for the injury.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, who is the vice-captain of Bangladesh national team, is also in the team but Sylhet named Mashrafe to lead their side.
