Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam is eyeing to carry his fine form as he enters the new year and he stated that BPL would help him in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The 22-year-old pacer is set to feature for Durdanto Dhaka, said his goal is to remain fit and prepared to take on any challenge that comes his way and believes BPL would be an ideal start.
“Last year went very well for me. Especially the last 6-7 months. I will return with BPL. Will try to keep that form. I will try to stay as fit as possible because there are many games ahead for the country. That is my main goal,” said Shoriful.
“BPL will help a lot. Since T20 World Cup is ahead. Everyone wants to perform at their best and to do something new. It will also help me in the World Cup,” he said.
Shoriful echoed Khaled Mahmud Sujon's statement and expressed his desire to qualify for the knockout stage and then think about the final.
“Our first goal will be to secure knock-out stage. If we get to the Super Four, we will think about the finals. We have Mosaddek Bhai, Taskin, Irfan Sukkur, Saif Hasan and Naeem Sheikh are there. If the local players can do their best, we will do well and give winning performances in some matches,” he added.
