Former Indian pace bowler Ajit Agarkar insisted that Bangladesh skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza should be dropped from the Tigers playing XI considering his recent form.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is out of form in this current World Cup picking up only one wicket in the tournament so far during 21 overs that he bowled in the three games where he leaked 149 runs.

“Rubel should be included in the eleven, I know for them exclusion of Mashrafe from the eleven is tough but if you consider his form in this World Cup, I don’t think he gets into the eleven,’’ Agarkar was quoted in Cricinfo after their loss to England.
“If they want they can keep Mosaddek out of the eleven, they have enough spin bowling option. Mehedi and Shakib are bowling well, they are batting pretty well too. At this moment bowling is their main concern,’’ he added.
Mashrafe was in the form of the recent Ireland series. But slight niggle in the hamstring is troubling him in this World Cup, for this, he is having trouble bowling his full quota of 10 overs in this World Cup.
Mashrafe is the second highest wicket-taker this year but he is facing criticism because of his current performance. Besides this, Mashrafe’s captaincy has also been questioned in this World Cup. His decisions like bowling first against England and defensive fielding placement against New Zealand has been questioned in the press. Bangladesh won their first match against South Africa but they are on the back foot after losing back to back matches against New Zealand and England.
