The legendary West Indies captain Sir Vivian Richards has slammed West Indies by saying they are too one dimensional in approach and he also criticized West Indies for their lack of intensity in the field against Bangladesh.

For Bangladeshi batsmen, West Indies bowlers were like a walk in the park. Bangladesh chased down a mammoth total of 322 runs in just 41.4 overs. Shakib Al Hasan scored a hundred and Liton Kumar Das scored 90 against them. West Indies bowlers were bowling short balls after short balls, even though Bangladeshi batsmen were playing them at ease. They seemed like short like a team that is out of ideas and short of alternative plans.

“There didn’t seem to be any planning, where if this particular plan isn’t going to work then what about plan B, plan C or whatever the case is. We are too one dimensional,”  Sir Vivian said.

West Indies won just one match against Pakistan so far, in this World Cup. In that match, Pakistani batsmen suffered against short balls, after that West Indies bowlers seemed like cling on to the idea of short balls.  Sir Vivian thinks, in a World Cup a team should prepare different plans for different teams to be successful.
