In Wednesday’s second match, Dhaka Capitals collapsed to just 73 runs in 15.3 overs, marking the 11th lowest total in BPL history.
Litton Das and Tanzid Tamim failed to deliver, while Thisara Perera (15) and Betton (10) were the only batters to reach double figures. Mohammad Nabi, Tanvir Islam, and Faheem Ashraf starred for Barishal, each taking three wickets.
Chasing 74, Barishal lost only one wicket. Towhid Hridoy was dismissed after scoring 15 off 9 balls, while Tamim Iqbal remained unbeaten on 21 off 14.

Rangpur Riders, who have won eight out of 11 matches, still have a chance to join Barishal in the first qualifier.
If they defeat Khulna Tigers in their final group-stage match on Thursday, they will secure the spot. However, if Chittogong loses at least one of their remaining two matches, Rangpur will qualify regardless. The remaining two teams will then compete in the Eliminator.
