However, Iftikhar Ahmed, who plays for Multan Sultans, had informed Rana before the draft that the team was considering picking him.
Despite being initially considered by Multan, Nahid expressed his delight at joining Azam's team.

This marks Nahid's first opportunity in an overseas franchise league. Although he was overlooked in the IPL mega auction last December, the PSL selection is a significant milestone for him.
“A small opportunity can change a cricketer’s life. This is my first chance to play in a foreign franchise league, and I see it as a life-changing moment,” Nahid added.
