Shanto: Players like Rishad makes captain's job easier

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed his elation over Rishad Hossain's stellar performance in the third ODI against Sri Lanka, stating such players make the captain's job easier.
Rishad's outstanding performance at the eighth position was truly remarkable, as he played an exceptional innings, scoring an unbeaten 48 runs from just 18 balls which helped the Tigers to clinch ODI series 2-1.
Shanto lauded Rishad’s batting prowess and also noted his bowling and fielding capabilities. However, the captain mentioned that there is still room for improvement.
"First of all, bowling holds significant importance. We currently lack a leg-spinner, but looking at his performance in the New Zealand series, I believe he is bowling quite well. Moreover, his batting appears to be enhanced compared to the New Zealand series. Nevertheless, there is a lot of room for further improvement. Naturally, I am delighted. Having such a player in the team makes the captain's job much easier,” said Shanto.
“Indeed, he is an exceptional fielder. The batting performance is gradually on the rise. Undoubtedly, bowling plays a crucial role. His performance today was brilliant. Claiming an important wicket in the middle is undeniably beneficial for the team. However, it's crucial not to get overly excited at this point, as there is still a lot of room for improvement," he added.
