Bangladesh T20 skipper Mahmudullah said that he was motivated to do well against Sri Lanka in the Nidhas Trophy as they were eager to put their record straight against the Lankans at their own den.
The Nidhas trophy win against Sri Lanka did not ended smoothly for the visitors as there were lot of drama attached to it.
In a crucial match against Sri Lanka in the Nidahas Trophy, Bangladesh skipper Sakib al Hasan lost his cool and gestured the batsmen - Mahmudullah and Rubel Hossain - to walk off the field in a protest of a no-ball.

Bangladesh were chasing 160 for victory in the do-or-die match of the Nidahas Trophy and needed 12 runs in the last over to knock Sri Lanka out of the competition.
This is when Isuru Udana bowled a couple of head-high bouncers, the second of which was called a no-ball by the square leg umpire before he changed his decision.
The whole team gathered on the boundary line and protested with Sakib while the players on the field were also involved in heated arguments.
However, Mahmudullah kept his nerve to take the game away from the host.
‘’At first I want to say something, I think many would not know about it.Before the match, we all had a chat. I think that was also very important. Because before that match we lost against Sri Lanka in home condition, also, we lost in the tri-nation final. So I think everyone had that eagerness in them. In that meeting, everyone expressed their feelings and we happened to know that. Actual teamwork started to grow. If you see, we played well in every match in that tournament. First-ever we chased down 215, Mushfiq had a brilliant knock, you also scored well MashaAllah. Everybody scored well,’’ Mahmudullah told Tamim when he asked him what was going around his head during an instagram live on Sunday.
‘’In that particular match in Nidahas, Shakib was continuously calling from one end, that Riyad Bhai come. I was like what are you saying, I wasn't understanding of what to do. I was walking towards the sideline removing my gloves for that reason. I was wondering what is happening, what I have to do, then everything got settled. Alhamdulillah, we managed to win that match, we had an amazing night,’’ he said adding that he was pretty sure that Udana would not bowl him over extra cover and he utilized it to the best of his ability by chipping that ball over square leg for six to help them earn the win.
‘’Yes, I had a guess. Because when he was doing wide yorker for sometimes, but I hit a boundary on his last wide yorker if I had not played that ball it would have been a large wide, even it would have called as wide in Test. Then Alhamdulillah we got four from that. Then I thought that he will not give me wide yorker anymore, probably he will go for stump yorker. So it ends well,’’ he said.
