Bangladesh opener Liton Kumar Das need to concentrate more during his 20’s and 30’s because he seems to have a concentration lapse at that point of his innings, said his BPL coach Owais Shah.
Liton had been some sort of revelation in the BPL as unlike the past he was quite consistent during the tournament as he was the highest scorer for champion Rajshahi Royals making 455 runs.

Shah played a big part behind his development by guiding him as the head coach and according to the former English cricketer Liton flourished as he was given the freedom to express him in the middle.
‘’Yes he [Liton Kumar das] was, Liton a wonderful talent a great talented player. I loved working with him. He is a very very hardworking batsman and wicket-keeper. He is an absolute superstar for Bangladesh. What did I say to him, I literally wanted him to express his game,’’ Shah told Cricfrenzy on Tuesday.
‘’I think at times I felt that he had done his job by getting 20s and 30s but I wanted him to get 70s and 80s for the team. So, that was something I wanted him to change the way he played cause he started beautifully, I mean what a player, but when he got to 20s or 30s he might play a rash shot, so that's something I wanted him to change and become more consistent for the team and wanted him to bat with responsibilities and I was happy as the tournament goes on he started getting more and more consistent,’’ he said.
‘’I think hopefully he made that shift that I can bat and get the 70s and 80s, get a big score for us, because if an opener gets a big score like that everybody else just can come in and play the shots and we can get to nearly 200. That was the recipe we had and Liton followed it beautifully. I was really happy with him,’’ he said.
