Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque said he does not agree with the idea of using vaseline to shine the ball after the ban of the Saliva was implemented by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Normally people use Vaseline to shine their skin when their skin becomes dry and further dry as well.
The cricketers, especially bowlers all around the world were worried about how they will shine the ball during Test matches after the saliva ban. As of now, they are thinking how they will handle the batsmen.
They were even urging ICC to allow them to use any substance (wax or Vaseline) to shine the ball so that they can stay in the fight and haven’t struggle much against the batters.

Bangladesh test captain has stated that using Vaseline to shine the ball would give the bowlers too much advantage rather he agrees with Sachin Tendulkar suggestion of using polish in the ball
“I think using Vaseline would be too much in my opinion. If they use Vaseline the ball will shine more. I think we can use polish as well. I think Vaseline can be used in different ways,” Mominul Haque said.
“The use of the Vaseline can make the ball shinier than usual. Great cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar have suggested using polish rather than Vaseline,” he added.
The captain also revealed that ICC had made the right decision to take the substitutes of the COVID -19 infected players for the sake of cricket.
“If anybody is infected with the coronavirus during the match, it can be dangerous. The whole team can be infected with this severe disease. This could lead to canceling the whole series or the match itself,” Test captain said.
The longest format captain also backed ICC decisions for the local umpire to stand in home matches and see it as a great opportunity for his country umpire as well.
“The door of the local umpire is widening with this decision. They’ll have the opportunity to officiate in Test matches. This is very positive for them. There are good umpires in our country for them, it is an opportunity,” he pointed out.
