Cricketers can’t take families with them ahead: Akram Khan

Bangladesh cricketers will not be allowed to take families with them even when they go for a long tour according to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Cricket operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan.
Citing the bad experience of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in London, Akram said that they witnessed the worst experience when cricketers were allowed to take families with them in the long tour.
Bangladesh cricketers were previously allowed to take their families with them when they would travel for a longer period in overseas conditions.
Some of the senior members of the team have taken their families with them during the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in the United Kingdom (UK)) but after finishing second last in the tournament the board might have taken that decision.
“No cricketers will be allowed to take their families with them when any series will be played. It’s not for the coronavirus time but hopefully when the situation becomes normal, we’ll not be allowed any cricketers to take their families with them,” Akram Khan said.
“In the last World Cup, we shared a bad experience with them when cricketers were allowed to take families with them,” Akram Akram khan told a leading Bangla news portal today.
“We’re thinking about this matter and we will discuss this in the board meeting. In long tours we may allow our cricketers to take their families for some time when we have one and a half month tour we will allow them to have their families for some time,” he added
