Since 2021, this is going to be India’s first bilateral tour to Sri Lanka. The last time India set foot in the islands saw Rahul Dravid stepping up as the interim coach of the side while Ravi Shastri was still dealing with the main team.
Shikhar Dhawan was the captain of the Indian team that played in Sri Lanka while the first string Indian cricket team was in England for the Test series.
