Rain might play a spoilsport in the most anticipated match between Bangladesh and India as as the weather forecast for Antigua shows chances of thunderstorms.


According to Accuweather. com, there are chances of scattered thunderstorms in the morning and is a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon as well.

The match is set to start at 8.30pm Bangladesh Time, but the crucial Super Eight clash may be impacted by rain due to the forecast of thunderstorms in Antigua.

Bangladesh have always had close contests with India in the T20 format, although the head-to-head record is with the Men in Blue holding a dominating 12-1 record.


India has never lost to Bangladesh in four T20 World Cup meetings but the Tigers were able to give them a tough challenge. The most recent encounter between the two teams in the T20 World Cup took place in Australia two years ago where India narrowly secured a five-run victory against Bangladesh.



There are no reserve day available for the Super Eight round. If a match is rained out, both teams will receive one point.
