Rangpur Riders skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza said that he knew that the day will belong to him once he bowled the first ball against Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Mashrafee, who opted to bowl against his former side after winning the toss, indicated that it was going to be his game when he beat opener Tamim Iqbal in the very first ball of the innings.
Mashrafee bin Murtaza recorded his career best figure in Twenty20 cricket as Rangpur Riders bowled out title-aspirants Comilla Victorians for lowly 63 runs and later reached 67-1 in 12 overs to earn a comprehensive nine wicket win in the BPL on Tuesday.

Mashrafee claimed the wickets of top-four before to finish with 4-11 in his four overs at a stretch as Comilla’s strong batting line-up got little answer to his impeccable bowling.
This was his best bowling in Twenty20 format, surpassing 4-19 for Bangladesh against Ireland at Belfast in 2012.
Ironically, Mashrafee’s best bowling in BPL came for Comilla when he claimed 3-16 against Khulna Titans in 2016.
‘’After bowling the first ball I knew if I could bowl in the right place there is chance of achieving something,’’ Mashrafee told reporters after the match.
‘’I felt the wicket was double paced so it was important to bowl in the right area. We are lucky that we could pick early wickets as that helped us to built the momentum,’’ he said.
