The Bangladesh Premier League had its share of controversy in opening week largely due to the DRS system and the wicket as the former was not sufficient while the latter was not well prepared to host a T20 match.
While the ultra edge system is expected to be in operation from Friday to support the DRS system it is not the case when it comes to wicket unless there is a miracle.
The wicket had always been a mystery when it comes to Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium and it seemed to remain that way as it is observed that day games are not getting enough runs on the board.

Former national captain Akram Khan believe cricketers need to play with separate mentality to get the most out of the day games as well as from the games played at night.
‘’The wicket is certainly better than the last time,’’ Akram told reporters at SBNS on Tuesday.
“The important thing that drew our attention more is that weather is playing a big part on the behavior of the wicket,’’ he said.
‘’In day time the wicket remains dry and the ball is getting gripped and so our batsman are not at all comfortable. While at night there are dewdrops and it turns out to be advantageous for the batsman,’’ he said.
‘’The mentality of the cricketers should change and operate along with the days requirements but you have to play with one kind of attitude in night and another in day,’’ he said.
‘’Since the season is taking place in winter and fogged up,the changes in wicket are highlighted apparently,’’ he concluded
